Japan-related video #2

Image
After watching a couple videos from the YouTube channel,  Akane-JapaneseClass , I decided to watch their video on ordering coffee in Japanese.                                                     Conversation for ordering coffee in Japanese   Watching their videos has given me the chance to learn real life conversations and situations in Japanese. They give you a perspective of going to a place where English isn't used, and what is looks and sounds like.  Throughout the video you not only see them ordering coffee and food in Japanese but also the polite and proper etiquette. I definitely plan to continue watching and learning from these videos of life in Japan.

Japan-related Video

While searching, I found and watched a YouTube video of a woman going to Kamakura, Japan. Throughout the video, the woman communicates what she was seeing and doing all in Japanese. This video made me realize how much more I need to learn and practice regarding Japanese, but also the progress I have made so far:) I was able to understand certain words and also read what was shown on the screen. I enjoyed learning about Kamakura and the wonderful place it seems to be. Hope I can visit one day!

Japanese Video 2

I decided to watch and listen to a song called " 踊り子 " by a Japanese artist called Vaundy. Before watching the music video, I had actually already listened to this song many times. I found this song on Spotify and just couldn't stop listening. The song title translates to "dancer" which compliments the catchy beat that makes you want to dance and move your body. Through the music video we seem to be following a young lady as she sings, dances, and goes along her day. The whole song is in Japanese, which I can't understand what the artists is saying exactly but hopefully one day I will.

The video I watched was the song "Gurenge" by Japanese singer LiSA. This song is from the popular anime Demon Slayer and is used throughout the whole first season as the intro song. After listening to this song, I now understand why this video has over 100 million views and became a huge hit. This song has a catchy sound, and the animation only makes it more memorable for the viewer. Overall, I think this is a very good song and can't wait to hear more. ⚔
