Japan-related video #2

After watching a couple videos from the YouTube channel, Akane-JapaneseClass, I decided to watch their video on ordering coffee in Japanese.

Conversation for ordering coffee in Japanese

Watching their videos has given me the chance to learn real life conversations and situations in Japanese. They give you a perspective of going to a place where English isn't used, and what is looks and sounds like.  Throughout the video you not only see them ordering coffee and food in Japanese but also the polite and proper etiquette. I definitely plan to continue watching and learning from these videos of life in Japan.

  1. Thank you for recommending this video! I definitely think that it was helpful in helping me learn how to politely order food in Japan. I also enjoy how this video lines up with what we have been learning in class recently. I think that videos like this are extremely helpful to make sure that we are being respectful and mindful while in foreign countries, such as Japan!

  2. Wow, this video was very insightful! I found it both interesting and helpful that she read each of the items in the menu. It's great practice to read it aloud and see if your pronunciation was correct. I also appreciated that she recorded her interaction of ordering a coffee, giving a sense of that real-life interaction. Can't wait to use this one day!
